ABOUT THE FORUM
The Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum is co-organised by The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) - the first forum in Central Asia organised at central bank level. It convenes over 1,500 policymakers, financial institutions, technology leaders, investors, and ecosystem partners to shape the next phase of regional growth, infrastructure development, and cross-border connectivity.
Partners gain more than visibility. They gain influence over a market being built in real time, access to the regulators and institutions shaping it, and a position at the centre of the world's most consequential emerging trade and financial corridor.

CORRIDORS
Uzbekistan is not on the periphery. It sits at the centre of a USD 40 trillion GDP-linked trade corridor connecting Central Asia to Europe, the Middle East, South Asia, and Asia, markets representing 50% of the world's population. A Presidential Decree has set national targets: 200 licensed fintechs, USD 1 billion in FDI, and 5,000 trained fintech professionals by 2030. Open banking mandated for rollout by September 2026. And in March 2026, President Mirziyoyev signed the landmark Islamic Finance Law, opening Uzbekistan to a projected USD 4.9 trillion global Islamic finance market.
In 2026, the case for Uzbekistan has strengthened further. With southern trade routes disrupted and the Middle Corridor accelerating as a strategic necessity, digital financial infrastructure is no longer a fintech aspiration. It is a hedge against physical disruption, and the platform building it is here.
